Christ Follower
I am a follower of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).  He is my King, my Savior, my friend.  I was brought into this world a sinner (Romans 3:23), Christ died for my sins (Romans 8:1-4), and I am now a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:16-18).  I deny myself, take up my cross daily, and follow after Christ (Luke 9:23).

Husband
I was married to the love of my life, Melissa Marie O’Neal, on December 13, 2008.  We are just now coming up on 1 year of marriage and I definitely married “up”.  Melissa is an amazing wife and she is what drives me to be a better person.  She is my best friend in the whole world and my partner in this thing called life.

Father
I am a father to be.  Our baby is now growing inside my wife (what a miracle of life) and we are expecting March 10, 2010.  This will be a brand new venture that I’m sure will bring new challenges but I can’t wait to strive to be the father that God wants me to be.

Worship Leader
I lead worship in churches all over the country.  I am currently the worship leader at The Well in Cartersville, Georgia and I absolutely love my job.  I work at 1 of the best churches in the nation and I’m just honored to be a part of what God is doing there.

Church Planter
Back in college, I stumbled (full story to come later) into church planting.  I helped start The Orchard in Cleveland, Georgia as their Minister of Music.  Then I went to West Ridge’s School of Church Planting and started Cross View Community Church in Rockmart, Georgia with Danny Echols.  I worked there as their Creative Arts Pastor.  Now I’m working alongside Andy Postell at The Well.  I love the thought of a new birth for a church and giving the people who were turned off by church the opportunity to think about church done differently.

Yesterday was the 4th preview service for The Well.  It went really smooth.  We had a great crowd and the band did awesome.  Anna Houston was our guest vocalist and she led on “See His Love”.  I will for sure have to have her back real soon.

By the way, I’m changing the site up and everything tomorrow night.  I’m probably going to postpone the release a little bit.  Maybe August.  We’ll just have to see how things work out.  I’m excited to see how God moves in this project.

We did bass and acoustic today.  It was alot of fun.  Brink nailed his parts.  I did my acoustic parts pretty quick too.  Then I went up to visit Melissa at work.

I think we are going to do vocals on Monday night.

Looking forward to leading worship at Revolution Church tomorrow morning.

I readded things up last night and wow…I’m a little behind.  The studio is going to cost more than I had planned and mastering wasn’t even in the equation yet.  I’m praying hard that God will provide the money.  I had a really good friend of mine send me a text message yesterday saying he wanted to give me $100 towards my project.  That was awesome.  So putting that into the math, I need $942 more.  Please join me in praying.  I believe in praying something specifically so that’s why I’m praying for an exact amount.

We actually only did keys last night.  We kept it really simple.  Ruben really doesn’t get all that much room to shine (even though he is an AMAZING player).  We kinda just added laid back pads in the mix.

We start the last day of tracking today and it’s going to be a full one.  We’re going to start with Brink on bass, then my acoustic, and then my vocals.  My voice feels a little soar today so we may not get there.  I’m not sure.  But that’s the plan as of right now.

We went until 2am last night so I’m exhausted this morning.  But God is doing some awesome stuff in the studio with us and I can’t wait to share it with you guys.

Tonight I’m heading over to Revolution practice.  I’m excited about this Sunday to sing with Amy Winkles.  We always run into each other at conferences and what not, but we haven’t had a chance to sing together yet.  Can’t wait.

I’m excited about tomorrow.  Tomorrow we record Tucker and Joe’s electrics.  After we have those laid down we will be able to get a decent feel for how the album will sound.  Then it’s 2 days to “relax”.  Wednesday I have most of the day to actually relax and then it’s off to Revolution for rehearsal.  And then Thursday night I’m playing out at First Baptist Marietta for their Missions in Marietta project.  I’m planning on playing the new “God of this City” song for the first time.  I’m excited about that.  Well, I’m off to bed.  Thanks for all the prayers for us in the studio this week.

This is going to be a busy week for me.  I am officially no longer at Ken Stanton, but I’m going to be working 2 days this week and 3 days the next.  Then it’s full time at The Well in July.  All kinds of stuff going on in June.  I’m excited to see how I will be completely exhausted to where I can’t do anything myself.  That way I can’t claim anything.  To GOD be the glory.
